Tradeshow counters and podiums are the first stop for a potential customer in the display space. It is important to make guests feel like equals. Podiums and counters provide an area for meeting and greeting potential customers. Podiums are usually close to the aisle and often have company logos prominently placed on them. There are several types of counters and podiums. There’s free-staging, alcoves, case-to-counter, conversions, portables, and customs. Some counters can also be enhanced with custom LED lighting or translucent countertops.

Free Standing

Freestanding counters are counters that can stand independently from a tradeshow exhibit. They are often used as counters or podiums at the entrance to a display space. They can be of a lightweight, portable construction or full custom units. Freestanding counters can also include locking storage, product display, graphics, lighting, and custom materials.

Alcove Counters

Alcove counters use one wall of the display structure to complete the counter. Counters can be finished in a variety of materials: from fabrics to laminate. Countertops are usually laminated wood or injection molded plastic. Counters are modular, meaning that they can be expended to different sizes and shapes; straight, curved, or a combination of the two. They can provide locking storage and internal shelving for greater versatility.

Case-to-counter

Case-to-counters serve a dual purpose. The cases are used to transport portable displays. The cases themselves can then be converted to a counter to present products, literature, and other marketing materials. For an even larger counter, there are some options where two cases can be put together to form one counter. Case-to-counters can be covered with rollable graphics, stretch fabric, or Velcro compatible graphics.

Counter Conversions

Case-to-counters serve a dual purpose. The cases are used to transport portable displays. The cases themselves can then be converted to a counter to present products, literature, and other marketing materials. For an even larger counter, there are some options where two cases can be put together to form one counter. Case-to-counters can be covered with rollable graphics, stretch fabric, or Velcro compatible graphics.

Portable Counters

Portable counters generally ship flat in their own shipping cases. They can also include the shipping case itself as part of the counter. Portables offer ease of set-up with minimal (if any) tools.

Customs

With custom counters, the sky is the limit as to what can be designed and built. Custom counters can include features such as internal lighting, backlit graphics, premium materials, one-piece construction, etc. Depending on the construction of the counter, some custom counters may need a custom shipping crate.
